The research teams at Le Mans Université include some 260 doctoral students. The legal duration of a thesis is 3 years for students benefiting from specific funding.
Each doctoral school is supported by teams or laboratories recognised by the Ministry or the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research)
The EDGE doctoral school (Doctoral School of Management and Economics) - ED 597 is supported by the Argumans laboratory.
