Cross-disciplinary courses
In order to broaden his range of skills and his academic horizons and make his future integration into the world of work easier, the doctoral student must complete a minimum of 100 hours of training spread over the 3 years of his thesis.
The provision of cross-disciplinary training courses by the École des docteurs and the Pôle du Mans gives you the tools to support your professional and research projects. This provision is additional to the subject training courses offered by your doctoral school.
Calls for projects
Assistance for international thesis mobility
Le Mans Université, with the support of the local authorities, wishes to support doctoral students registered for joint international supervision of doctoral theses (cotutelle), which represents an important element of the institution’s international scientific policy. This call for projects therefore aims to participate in the financing of the transport and accommodation costs of doctoral students registered for joint international supervision of their doctoral theses at both Le Mans Université and in a foreign higher education institution. Only one instance of assistance can be given during the duration of the thesis.
Support for doctoral students for participation in conferences
Le Mans Université wishes to support the participation of doctoral students in scientific conferences to present and compare the results of their research with those of other researchers. This support supplements the funding already provided by laboratories and doctoral schools to pay the registration fees of doctoral students and their transport and accommodation costs.
